Also thinking about it now, this book had hints of Aladdin and Cinderella vibes to it. I can see why SO many book boxes are curating this book. The ending was AMAZING but ends in a cliffhanger so I need book two in my hands right now! Overall this book was just amazingly done and didn’t disappoint at all. The steam level is 1/5 but I hope it’s more in the next book because this reader needs all the spice. There is romance in this book with an instant love trope. There are many side characters in the book but I’m more excited to see their involvement in book 2. Both characters develop in their own way but I can tell that more is coming soon. Alizeh is strong and badass while Kamren is kind of like Warner but in a good way. I loved both characters so much in this book. Alizeh is the long lost heir and Kamran is the morally grey prince.
This book is written from both Alizeh and Kamran’s pov. The pacing is also well done and in short terms everything about the writing is great. The world building is great and it’s based on Persian mythology. I was honestly hooked from the first page and couldn’t stop reading. This book has an amazing story with so much conflict and page turners. Tahereh has written science fiction and contemporary so seeing fantasy on the list lets me know that Mafi has many stories in her head. I love Tahereh’s books as she always has amazing characters, world building and storyline so let me tell you that this book didn’t disappoint at all. Review: This was such an amazing book! This book is about Alizeh, a servant but a heir to the Jinn kingdom, and Kamran, the crown prince, work together to save the world.
